Mott Hall Charter School
How One Video Hit 464,000 Views by Telling the Truth About School Culture.
Client: Mott Hall Charter School
Project Type: Brand Awareness & Culture Storytelling
Deliverables: Video Production, Social Media Content, Strategic Content Guidance
Background
Mott Hall Charter School is a Bronx-based charter school with a strong identity built around student excellence and community pride. They had a story worth telling. They just needed the right way to tell it.
The Challenge
Mott Hall wanted more families to see what made their school different. Their culture was real, energetic and student-centered. But that wasn't showing up online. Their social media presence didn't reflect the school families actually experienced when they walked through the door.
The Approach
We produced high-energy video content focused on what made Mott Hall's culture undeniable. The strategy centered on their PBIS system, which stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, and the monthly Rise Assembly. The Rise Assembly is a school-wide celebration honoring students who demonstrate excellence in and out of the classroom. Instead of scripting a promotional video, the team captured the real energy of that event and let students and staff speak for themselves.
The Results
One Instagram video from the Rise Assembly earned over 464,000 views. The content did not feel like an ad. It felt like a front-row seat to something worth being part of. That is exactly what moved families.
The Takeaway
Families do not enroll because of a brochure. They enroll because something made them feel like that school was built for their child. If your school has moments like the Rise Assembly happening every month, those moments are your most effective marketing tool. You just need someone to capture them the right way.
If your school has a similar messaging or trust problem, book a Enrollment Message Audit.
